(1)Ninja’s Hiding Place

A shrine in the back of Higashi Chaya District is very familiar to locals. Newly-wed parade and scattering of beans take place here. Recently there is a rumor that three Ninjas are living in in the shrine…Can you find all of them?

(2)Why in this place?! A motionless pigeon

In the narrow street there’s a pigeon on the roof. It’s quietly staying in the middle of two local houses as if it’s watching over everyone. Apparently it’s one of the Chinese amulets. Look above and don’t miss it!

(3)Divination by the water

There used to be a river called “Yanone-gawa” in this place. It’s said that Yoshitsune and Benkei used this river to wash their arms and arrows (“Yanone” means arrowhead). Now it’s a chill-out place that you can play a water prediction (Mizu-ura Mikuji) and taste Japanese sweets at cafes around.

(4)A trendy kid of red

What a lovely post box! A display will change each season. It’s a favorite heartwarming place among the locals. It’s an Instagrammable object!

(5)The incarnation of the Dragon God

On the mountain shaped like a dragon lying down, it is said that Tengu lives in this place. In the precinct of the shrine there is a sacred pine tree called “Gohon-matsu”. Its stem is divided into five, and it’s a spiritual spot not many people know.
Climbing up the stairs is a bit exhausting, but it’s a secret place that enables you to overlook the city of Kanazawa.
It is also said that Ninjas are scouting the city from there.

(6)Giant’s shovel

What kind of giant person uses such a long shovel?
Actually this is not for digging the ground, but the city of Kanazawa it snows a lot in winter. The shovel is there for removing the snow on the roofs. Are you curious about how they use it?

(7)A mysterious mirror

A curved mirror with wooden frame is matching with the atmosphere of the bridge. Can you take a picture without the reflection of your camera?

(8)A shiny golden warehouse

What a gorgeous warehouse covered with golden leaves! Is it too shiny that you cannot open your eyes to look at?
Let’s get golden leaves as souvenirs at the shop in front of it!

(9)The guardian of the east

A shrine that has been watching the District from ancient times.
Usually guardian dogs have no gender, but one of them at this shrine is a male. Watch carefully and see which one is the male guardian dog! Ladies will have happiness by stroking his head.
The god of learning is enshrined, so that many of the students visit this place to pray for passing exams.
If you pray, maybe you can pass exams or enter into the university of your dream.

(10)Goal (Hyakuban-ya)

Let’s get Hachiman-san (Kaga Hachiman Okiagari) as a prize!
Why don’t you try “Nodoguro soft serve ice cream” with a Nodoguro-shaped cone?

Anko (read bean paste) simulates the throat of Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch).
